Our guides are all professionals and IFMGA qualified (International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations). Our ski instructors are all IASS (International Ski Instructors Association) qualified. Mid-mountain leaders have all federally recognized patents.

Your guide, ski instructor or mi-mountain leader is the only one responsible for choosing the itinerary routes that you use. He will take in to account your wishes and adapt them to the conditions and the terrain.

The helicopter company, Air Glaciers, is the second largest in Switzerland. Apart from providing private transport, its main activity is mountain rescue and the transportation of materials for large-scale building work in the mountains. recognized for having the best pilots in the field, they have numerous employees who are both guides and helicopter pilots.

Working closely with the avalanche research centre, our guides are continually checking the avalanche danger information database. They decide on the itinerary according to this information.

All our clients are provided with safety equipment; this will include an avalanche transceiver, a shovel and a probe. Clients will receive a brief safety talk on the subject and further to this all guides will be equipped with a first aid kit and a radio transmitter.

For safety reasons, we would ask that our clients arrive in good health and are insured in case of accidents or illness. You should have private third party insurance as well as insurance that includes repatriation in the event of an accident (this should include helicopter rescue).

Pierre-Olivier Bagnoud

UIAGM mountain guide, ski and telemark instructor

Pierre-Olivier Bagnoud is Swiss but first and foremost he is from Valais.
Pierre-Olivier is an expert in heli-skiing and ski-touring, so you can feel safe in the hands of this skiing and mountain lover. He has a mass of experiences gained from his travels and expeditions to Russia, the Himalaya and Africa.

Marlène Galletti

Herbalist, mid-mountain leader

Marlene is a real part of the land. She has spent her whole life in the mountains.
In her younger days she tended livestock and made cheese in the high pastures, and now she is a mountain guide and herbalist. She is fascinated by plants and their nutritional, medicinal and cosmetic uses.

Georges Mariéthoz

Retired with boundless energy

Georges is like a Duracell battery…. always in a good moon and full of energy! Georges loves to share his passion for his mountain region. He spent more than 40 years working for one of the top ski brands, so he knows all the sports shops in French-speaking Switzerland and particularly all the routes, paths and tracks in Valais.

After working for several years in the luxury goods market, in particular as Head of Products for the Swiss branch of Maison Cartier, Laure decided to throw all her energies and knowledge into the creation of AlpEmotion. She has been a skier since the age of 3 and is a qualified ski instructor (ISIA level 3)

Nathalie Nemeth Defago

Mid-mountain leader

Nathalie is a great lover of nature in all its forms!
At the moment she is training as a herbalist and is an expert in the plants of the Valais’ high mountain pastures. She is also a passionate proponent of the local dialect of the valley of her birth, making it the topic of her degree thesis.
